This is look is fabulous for strolling downtown and enjoying the weather. Denim looks great with almost any colored bottoms, preferably dark or bright. It also is good for layering over any top, for this upcoming spring plan on using it over a dress or tank. I received my vintage purse from a family friend, but you could possibly find vintage bags like mine strolling through your local thrift stores. 

I love living in Decatur, there are so many fun, interesting pieces of artwork everywhere, under bridges, on walls, in tunnels, and even the sidewalk at times. They can even be a bit inspiring.

Today was beautiful out and my outfit was pretty simple. For a day like today where it is sunny with gusts of light wind here and there, tights and a light weight, long- sleeve dress  are a perfect combination for a comfortable wear around school, work, or even around town. And don't you just love the hippie inspired sleeves? The wide sleeves seemed to show up more this past winter and now for this upcoming spring. 

DIY: Kate Spade Inspired Mugs

Supplies Necessary:
1. Mug ( I got mine at Target  for $3.99)
2. Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint, I bought it at Walmart, but you can also find it in craft stores.
3. Paint Brush for lettering, if you decide to do a quote.
4. For polka dots use a circular sponge brush.
5. Oven

 Process:
1. Find a suitable Kate Spade quote for you (like "Be Dazzling") or just decide what size polka dots you prefer.
2. Start painting your mug.
3. Trace over your letters or polka dots with about two or three coats of your gold paint.
4. Let your mug air dry for a few minutes.
5. Put your mug in your oven for about 30-45 minutes in 350°
6. You're going to need a pair of oven mitts to take your creation out.
7. Let cool for about 20 minutes and then wash them.
8. Enjoy your beautiful masterpiece.

Today's outfit was inspired by this windy weather and possible chance of rain, hence my wonderful rain boots. I thought I would discuss the beautiful Herringbone Vest that everyone adores. This vest was available at J. Crew, and then the J. Crew inspired vest came out which looks almost exactly the same, just cheaper in price. You can literally wear this vest with almost any pattern or color. For example, I wore mine with a pink and white striped button up, but you can also wear it with flannel, leopard, or denim. Accessories that you can rock while wearing this vest are infinity scarves to keep your neck warm, pearls to keep it classy, or a statement necklace to draw attention to your look.
